Job Responsibilities:

  1. Builds and sustains effective communication and business relationships with the departments, other state agency contacts, external partners, and key stakeholders.
  2. Maintains knowledge and understanding of division led initiatives and responsible for the development of marketing and communication materials for staff and external stakeholders.
  3. Coordinates and manages the development of marketing and communication materials for division initiatives to include the programs to staff and external stakeholders.
  4. Assists the director and service delivery manager to perform duties of liaison with various court systems, state agencies and the national child support community. This includes matters relating to the department' s outreach initiatives.
  5. Assists the director with researching, compiling and disseminating activities to prepare presentations and internal correspondences for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and field offices.
  6. Reviews, maintains and submits updates to the department website pages to include but not limited to the Staff Only Pages, Employee Intranet page and linked documents. This includes researching, writing and editing articles for press releases for online and printed media. This requires knowledge and proficiency of various social media (i.E. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) displaying professional etiquette when communicating business-related content over any public domain.
  7. Develops, designs and publishes the monthly Peach State Dispatch and the quarterly Express newsletters as well as fact sheets, quick facts and brochures for agency wide disseminations.
  8. Maintains multiple email distribution lists for the director for the purpose of distributing the newsletter and external communications to internal and external customers.
  9. Interacts with local office staff to include managers, supervisors and partners throughout the division, recommending communication strategies for conveying information surrounding goals set by the ELT and federal and state performance measures.
  10. Creates strategies to increase employee awareness of changes and projects within the agency and to promote productivity relative to meeting division goals set by the Leadership Team as well as to meet federal performance measures.
  11. Serves as a member of the Leadership team, apprising members of ongoing activities and status agency newsletters and interagency.
  12. Attends division events such as department graduations, department kickoffs, Department Conversations, Department Celebrations, and conferences to create written, photo and video content.
  13. Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  14. Writes social media content on behalf of the department to be published to social media by the Office of Communications.
  15. Serves on the Digital Marketing Team to develop marketing strategies to promote the initiatives through digital advertisements.
  16. Creates animated videos to be used for internal events.
  17. Drafts messages and remarks on behalf of the Director.
  18. Manages the delivery and flow of panel discussions at the Department Conversations, which includes writing scripts and feeding customers questions to the host.
  19. Collaborates with Georgia Public Broadcasting to develop marketing proposals to promote programs and services.
  20. Oversees and assists in the production of digital advertisements such as television commercials.
