Job Description
The role is in support of a leading research and education institute centrally located in Atlanta. The institute provides education, outreach, and career placement services to high schools, GED academies, post-degree professionals, and enrolled degree-seeking students. Additionally, the institute coordinates research awareness and industry engagement programs to facilitate dialog between faculty, students, and industry.
This position operates in an academic office suite environment.
This position is currently 20% remote (subject to change).
Responsibilities:
Assist with coordination of marketing and communications efforts (social media, newsletters, mktg material)
Assist with updating internal/external departmental websites
Maintain contact records/lists
Assist with general data entry
Generate reports
Cover the reception desk
Answer, direct, and transfer phone calls, if necessary
Provide professional and polite communication relating to general inquiries via email and phone
Assist with management and execution of professional education program efforts
Arrange, organize, and schedule appointments, meetings, conference calls, conference rooms/space
Arrange catering for meetings and events
Coordinate logistics for meetings and events
Arrange and book travel (flights/hotels/transportation)
Submit and reconcile expense reports
Reserve group transportation, taxis, couriers, etc.
Greet event/meeting participants
Greet, assist, and provide general support to visitors
Maintain computer and manual filing systems
Coordinate office procedures
Order office supplies, maintain office supplies inventory
Coordinate repairs to office equipment
Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
Bachelor Degree Required
Required Background check and drug screening
